Early life
Chris Soules was born on November 6, 1981 in Arlington, Iowa. He was raised on a farm as a fourth generation of farmers. Even though his family imagined him to continue farming business in his future, Chris had a somewhat bigger dream.
During his high school years he played football and was a part of the track team. After finishing high school he attended the Iowa State University and got a major in Agricultural studies. Staying in Iowa on his farm wasn’t an option for Chris so he decided to try his luck in the TV world.
Reality TV career
Chris Soules decided to pursue his dream of becoming a celebrity by auditioning for the show Bachelorette. Even though no one expected a farmer to get ahead in the competition, Chris did just that. Souls even received the season’s first kiss from the bachelorette Andi but came in third in the end.
He admitted in various interviews that he was truly heartbroken after Andi decided not to choose him and that he needed some time to heal.
After his appearance on the show, the producers offered him a chance to choose from 30 beautiful women in Bachelor. In the previous seasons only 25 contestants have fought for the heart of the bachelor. He admitted that he was scared to go back to Iowa where life is a little bit slower and more peaceful, so the offer came at exactly the right time.
From 30 women who fought for his heart, he decided to ride into the sunset with Whitney Bischoff. He proposed to her but soon after they called of their engagement.
After appearing on two reality TV shows, offers for Chris just kept on coming. He participated in one celebrity cooking show and also a dancing competition. He gets a big part of his income from posting on Instagram and endorsing various products and businesses.

Chris now lives in Arlington on his family farm. He has built a large mansion there and spends most of his time helping his father and taking care of the farm. Even though he was scared of coming back home to Iowa, he decided it was a place where he belongs.
