Early life
Dwyane Wade was born on January 17, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois, U.S. growing up in Chicago Dwyane didn’t have an easy life. His mother was a drug addict and his father left the family when Dwyne was only four months old.
The family lived in a gang environment and police brutality and raids were a part of his everyday life. to make money for the family his mother was dealing drugs and got addicted in the meantime. Because of her behavior Dwyane moved to his father’s house.
His mother was later arrested several times because of the drugs and has also experienced a life-threatening situation when she almost overdosed. To scare away his reality, Dwyne spent most of his time on the court and played basketball and football.

Professional career
After his successful college years, Wade was excepted by the NBA in 2003. To get accepted, he immediately showed his talent and achieved a highest draft selection in the history of his university. Three years later in 2004 he finally made a breakthrough in his career in a game against Lakers.
He scored the biggest number of pints in the game and brought his team victory. By 2005 he was one of the best players of the NBA and his performance only improved as the time went by. The wins brought him media attention and had put him in the spotlight.
