Early life

James Thomas Fallon – born in Bay Bridge, Brooklyn (NewYork) on September 19, 1974. His parents, Gloria and James W. Fallon have Irish and German roots. His father was a war veteran and worked as a machine repairman and supported the family.

Fallon and his sister had a normal childhood, but he has said that his parents were at times overprotective. He went to Roman Catholic elementary school and was an altar boy. During his childhood he fell in love with comedy and he often filmed his favorite TV and radio shows. After high school he attended The College of Saint Rose where he first studied computer studies and then switched to communications.

During his student years, Jimmy often performed on weekends as a stand-up comedian and his grades were average. Jimmy didn’t finish his college until 2009 when he came back for his Bachelor of Arts degree in communications.

Fallon, like most comedians, started his career performing in local pubs. With only 21 years, he got himself a manager to book him gigs. He earned around 7.50$ per set. In 1998 he appeared in Spin City as a character who sells photographs.

He stayed concentrated on becoming a part of the SNL group and he got his second audition at the age of 23. He excelled during his audition and even made Lorne Michaels, a creator of the show, laugh which was almost impossible.
