Nick Young is a very famous basket ball player who plays for Los Angeles Lakers in the Nation Basketball Association. He mainly plays in the positions of shooting guard and small forward.
Born on June 01, 1985 in Los Angeles, California, Young was the one who played for the Cleveland High School which is located in Reseda in California. His interest in basketball has been since he was a kid and he started playing from a very young age. He started his career at around the year 2007 when he moved to National Basketball Association and that was when it kicked off. He started his career playing for Washington Wizards and then later was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in the year 2012.
Young after his High School basketball career, played for University of Southern California from the year 2004-2007. Later in the year of 2007 in the NCAA tournament, Young was the one who led the Trojans to berth but unfortunately lost the tournament to one-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels to a score of 74-64. That the time following the tournaments that Young announced to the Los Angeles Times on April 15, 2007 that he would turn his career to a more pronounced direction by entering the NBA draft.
Young was selected as the 16th overall in the selection list for the Washington Wizards in the 2007 NBA draft. His first ever NBA game was against Sacremento Kings on December 15, 2007.
Later in the year Young was charged with a fine of $10,000 by the Washington Wizards for participating and playing in another game prior to his game which was supposed to be on January 5, 2010 against the team of Philadelphia 76ers.
In the year of 2012, Young was put up in a three way trade between Los Angeles Clippers, Washington Wizards and even Denver Nuggets from where he was traded off to Los Angeles Clippers. And the Clippers since that day have been back with a great comeback winning against Memphis Grizzlis in one game in the year 2012.
Young even signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers on July 12, 2012.
Then in the year 2013, Young was signed to Los Angeles Lakers and has been since then playing for that team. During his time with the Los Angeles Lakers, Young suffered a terrible injury by the tearing of his radial collateral ligament of his right thumb which caused him to miss out on several of his matches because he was suggested around six-eight weeks. But after his recovery, his comeback was even more powerful and he took his team to victory and even scored season-high 29 points against the San Antonio Spurs.
In 2013, Young was rumoured to have been romantically connected with the Australian rapper Iggy Azalea after they were spotted out in a date. While these rumours kept floating around, Iggy Azalea finally confirmed their dating on a radio interview with Hot 97.
Finally with the passing days, on June 01, 2015 they finally announced their engagement but that only lasted for around an year before Iggy broke off the engagement due to tensions between their relationship and Young’s prior relationship with Keonna Green.
Kendrick Lamar, the very well-known rapper is Young’s cousin. His nickname is “Swaggy P.” which is the same as his twitter username.
