Early life

Novak Djokovic was born on May 22, 1987 in Belgrade, Serbia. He grew up in Belgrade with two brothers, who are now also tennis players. He was introduced with tennis at a very young age and spent most of his school years in training.

He often says that he feels sorry for missing out on those years of hanging out with his friends after school, but he is happy for everything he has achieved. He started playing tennis when he was only four years old and was first spotted by Jelena Gencic, while he was playing on the court on one occasion.
