Early life
Steven Aaron Jordan was born on November 2, 1967 in Buffalo, New York. There is not much information about Jordan’s early life and childhood. All we know is that he grew up in Rochester, New York raised by his father, Moses Jordan. His mother, Penny Daniels, left the family when Jordan was very young.
He had a difficult childhood but he stayed out of the street and spent most of his time listening to music and dreaming of one day making it in the music business. The success that he later achieved wasn’t even imaginable for him back when he was struggling to make ends-meat.
Music career
Jordan first caught the eye of the public as a member of the Bad Boy Records. He instantly showed great talent in producing, song writing and singing. His collaboration with Combs led to many successful projects.

Stevie J first great success was winning his first Grammy award for Sean Comb’s album No Way Out. One of the songs on the album was a smashing hit, which Combs dedicated to Nutorious B.I.G. after his death. His other work includes producing songs for Mariah Carey, for which he got another Grammy nomination and he also produced songs for Beyonce, Jay-Z, Brian McKnight, Lil Kim and many more.
Stevie J. presented a great contribution to RnB music and Hip Hop as a part of Bad Boy crew. His tracks can be heard in many songs, and his work often stays in the shadows because he never really invested too much time in building a large career, even though he could have done it.
