Vincent Anthony “Vince” Vaughn is an American actor, producer, screenwriter, activist, and comedian.

Early life

Vincent Anthony “Vince” Vaughn – born on March 28, 1970, in the Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is the son of real estate agent Sharon Eileen and toy salesman, Vernon Lindsay Vaughn.

Their ancestry comes from Scots-Irish ethnic group, known as The Ulster Scots. Throughout his grandparents, he has an Italian and Lebanese origin.

Vincent has two older sisters and grew up in Chicago. He attended the Lake Forest High School and soon as he graduated, he moved to Los Angeles.

Personal life

During the shooting of movie The Break-Up, Vince starts relationship with Jennifer Aniston. They broke up in November 2006.

Three years later he engaged Canadian real estate broker Kyla Weber. They married in the early 2010 and got two kids: daughter Locklyn Kyla Vaughn and son Vernon Lindsay Vaughn.

Vince was a part of numerous Libertarian inauguration and supported Ron Paul presidential candidacy.

Acting career

After being a part of television commercial Chevrolet cast in 1988, Vincent gains the first role in the dramatic television series China Beach (1989).

Vince also appeared in three seasons of anthology series for teenagers CBS Schoolbreak Special ( 1990 ).

The first movie role he gains in biographical sports film Rudy, where he played Jamie O’Hare. After failed initial testing of revival private detective series 77 Sunset Strip, where Vance was the lead role, he didn’t have any significant roles until 1996. That year he filmed comedy-drama movie Swingers, where his co-partner was Jon Favreau – his real life friend. With only $200,000budget, the film earned  $4,555,020 and became an independent film.

After this success, Vince gain role in box office hit The Lost World: Jurassic Park, directed by Steven Spielberg. He portrayed well-traveled documentarian, Nick Van Owen.

In 1998 he played in drama-thriller film Return to Paradise as John “Sheriff” Volgecherev, with Ana Heche and Joaquin Phoenix. In the same year, he filmed crime-comedy film Clay Pigeons, where he portrayed a serial killer Lester Long.

He starred in the sci-fi psychological thriller The Cell as Special Agent Peter Novak. Next year he took a role in crime comedy film Made as Ricky Slade. He also appeared in the western movie South of Heaven, West of Hell as Taylor Henry.

A major increase in his popularity brought the role in the sophomoric comedy Old School ( 2003 ), where he played Bernard “Beanie” Campbell. This movie was box office hit. Next year he appeared in crime-action buddy cop comedy Starsky & Hutch and sports comedy DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story, both with Ben Stiller.

Another box office achievement, he scores with the role in romantic comedy Wedding Crashers, where his partner was Owen Wilson. This movie earned $200 million.

In 2006, he played with then-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston in the romantic comedy The Break-Up. Vince tried himself as holiday humorist when he took the role of a sarcastic older brother of Santa Claus in the film Fred Claus and Four Christmases.

In 2009 he played with Malin Akerman in the movie Couple’s Retreat and two years later he starred in another comedy The Dilemma.

Producer career

Vince co-produced a lot of films where he played such as Fred Claus, The Break-Up, Couples Retreat, The Dilemma. He produced a comedy documentary film Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days and 30 Nights – Hollywood to the Heartland and Netflix documentary Art of Conflict.

In 2013 he wrote and produce comedy film The Internship, where he played the lead role with Owen Wilson. Three years later, Vince produces crime thriller Term Life, where he portrayed a thief Nick Barrow.
