Early Life 

Bryson Tiller was born named Bryson Djuan Tiller in Louisville, Kentucky, the United States on January 2nd, 1993 to his parents. There is not much known about his parents, but his mother passed away when he was four. Tiller has four brothers.

Records say that he, along with his younger brother Eric was raised by his grand mum. Growing up, he attended the Iroquois High School where he took singing lessons and picked up rapping at the age of 15. After his school days, he spends a brief period working at Papa John’s Pizza outlet and also UPS. He kept writing his own song material and also kept recording his beats when he was not working.

Tiller worked real hard to build his music base and making a name in the giant American music industry. It took him time to break through, but he started making his mark since the release of his very first mixtape Killer Instinct Vol.1 back in 2011.

Tiller released his debut mixtape titled Killer Instinct Vol.1 which contained 21 songs in all.  The 18-year old Tiller was busy creating an online presence with his song writing and was immensely proud of the 21 songs that he had penned. His work received a worthy appreciation when the mixtape was uploaded on his SoundCloud in 2014. His song ‘Don’t’ received the most recognition and turned him into an internet icon. Soon after the Soundcloud releases, the song became available on iTunes and was made his debut album’s lead single.

‘Don’t’ climbed to number 13 on Billboard Hot 100. Various artists including Mila J, D.R.A.M., K Camp and more released remixed versions of the track. Bryson Tiller was then signed by RCA Records. Tiller also received an offer from Drake in his OVO Sound Record label, but Bryson turned that down. Tiller was listed among Rolling Stone’s 10 New Artists You Need to Know.

Trapsoul, Bryson Tiller’s debut album was released in 2015, and it opened at number 11 on US Billboard 200 and later climbed to number 8. After ‘Don’t,’ the next single ‘Exchange’ bagged the number 26 on Billboard Hot 100. Next, ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ was released marking it as the third single from his album Trapsoul. The album got many mentions including PopSugar’s The 24 Best Albums of 2015, as Complex’s The Best Albums of 2015 and The Root’s 10 Favourite Albums of 2015.

In 2106, Bryson Tiller received a key to Louisville from the Mayor Greg Fischer and following that March 12 has been marked as ‘Bryson Tiller’s day.’ Tiller debuted on US television with a performance of his single ‘Exchange’ on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Tiller performed at the 2016 BET Awards where he received the awards for Best New Artist. Bryson Tiller was featured on DJ Khaled’s song ‘Ima Be All right’ alongside Future (rapper). Tiller’s other works as a featured artist include Travis Scott’s track ‘First Take’ which was a part of Scott’s Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight album.

Tiller second studio album was announced in early 2017 and is named True to Self. Bryson Tiller has one daughter Harley Tiller. He had Harley with Markea Bivens. The pair is rumored to have parted ways. Both of them take turns to take care of their daughter and are extremely loving and caring to her. Tiller’s daughter can be at times seen on his Instagram posts, but he prefers to keep his personal life behind the curtains. As of records, Tiller is not married or in a relationship right now.
