James Martin is a renowned chef and presents his cookery show on BBC. His show is aired on BBC channel every Saturday starting from the year 2006 and still running victoriously. He is British in origin.

He belongs to a family of farmers hailing from Castle Howard. Right from his childhood, he enjoyed helping his mother in the kitchen. His family lived in Welburn and he went toe the Amotherby School located in Malton and later joined the Malton School. In the Malton School, he was a part of the Cricket and the Rugby team. He was not good in academics due to his dyslexia which remained undiagnosed during his academic tenure.
He later joined the Scarborough Technical College. He got his training from “Hostellerie De Plaisance, Saint Emilion which is located in France. Later he worked with a 3 of the Michelin restaurant and later joined the One Ninety Queen’s Gate with the team of Anthony Worrall Thompson. This restaurant was located in London, Kensington.
He later worked with Alastair Little located in Soho, London and 2 Michelin Star restaurants, The Square in Mayfair which was located in London and the other one in Harvey’s located in Wandsworth in London.
He later worked in the Chewton Glen Hotel as a Chef in the Pastry division. At the young age of 22, he became the head chef of his hotel, Hotel du Vin located in Winchester.
His first television show was in the year 1996. He also co-hosted with Alistair Apple and later made his appearance in the Richard and Judy which was telecasted in Channel 4. He also enacted in the series in BBC entitled, Sweet Baby James where his focus was on the desserts, cakes and puddings.
Martin also appeared as a Judge in the series Blue Peter in the year April 2007, Can You Cook It? He has also hosted the show, The Great British Village Show in the BBC Channel in June and July 2007. He has also hosted the TV series, James Martin’s Christmas in the UKTV Food. He was also a part of the Eating with the Enemy in 2007 on BBC.
He has also opened a number of restaurants like The Leeds Kitchen in 2011 and also a restaurant inside Talbot Hotel, Malton in 2012 and James Martin Manchester in the year 2013.
