Best known for presenting TV shows like TV-am, Daybreak and Lorraine, Lorraine Kelly is a Scottish Television presenter, journalist and actress who also host one of Britain’s most popular breakfast shows, Good Morning Britain.
Born on November 30, 1959 in Glasgow, Scotland, Kelly is a descendant from an Irish ancestry and her father, John worked as a television repairman.
Kelly’s family was settled a few years in Scotland before they moved to East Kilbride where Kelly pursued her education from Claremont High School.
She was further accepted in a college for her further studies in English and Russian but she turned down the chance when she was chosen for a job in East Kilbride news from where on she joined BBC Scotland as a researcher in the year 1983.
Kelly is married to Stevie Smith since 1992 and they is presently residing in Broughty Ferry, Dundee and is a proud mother of their daughter Rosie who was born in 1994.
