Early life
Gizelle Graves was born on September 16, 1970 in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended her primary and high school in Baltimore, and graduated from Hampton University. She got her degree in Marketing. Hampton University is a historically black and private university in Virginia.
Her father, Curtis Graves, was a member of Texas House of Representatives. After that he joined NASA and worked there for three decades. He now works as an artistic photographer.
Soon after finishing college, Gizelle met her, now ex-husband, Jamal Bryant and got married.
Career and RHOP
After Gizelle got her degree in marketing from Hampton University, she got a job at NAACP. She worked there as an event planner and manager.
Gizelle never put her career on hold, even though she got married soon after college, and has firmed her career in business marketing. In 2015 Gizelle got an offer to be a part of the show Real Housewives of Potomac, and she decided to accept the offer and show the whole world how she balances her busy lifestyle.
The show finished its first season and until now it only received positive reviews. Second season is scheduled for the beginning of the next year.
She lives with her three daughters in 1.6$ million worth mansion. Besides being on the show and working as a marketing manager, she is also a great philanthropist. She is running a philanthropy project to renew Birmingham and founded a children’s center.
She also started the creation of her first make-up line for women of color that will be released soon.
Personal life
After finishing her college and getting a degree in marketing, she soon met her husband Jamal Bryant. The couple got married in 2002 and they now have three daughters, twins Angel and Adore and Grace.
Jamal Bryant is a famous church pastor and televangelist, whom she met while she was working in NAACP. After seven years of marriage, the couple decided to get a divorce in 2009. The reason for the divorce was Jamal’s alleged adultery. He admitted that he has had two more children with two other women, before he married Gizelle.
Big amount of her net worth comes from her divorce settlement and her husband’s large televangelist wealth.
This has of course hurt his reputation but he has apologized for his actions and blamed it on his immaturity. Gizelle is currently living in Potomac with her three daughters in 1.6$ million mansion. She shows us in the show how it looks to manage a big family while still providing for them.
