Early life
Paige was born as Paige Michelle VanZant was born on 26th March, 1994 in Dundee, Oregon, United States of America. For the obvious reason she hold the American nationality with the white ethnicity. Career
With a keen interest in martial art and boxing she had developed herself enough to compete and verify her ability in the field. In June 2012 when she had attained 18 years of age she faced Jordon Nicole Gaza at the UWF’s Tournament of Warriors. This was her debut entry in the MMA. On the basis of split decision Paige got her first recognized victory.
After few months in September she appeared again in another match this time her opponent was Amber Stautzenberger and defeated her on unanimous decision of the umpires. During this period she had also emerged winner in her debut amateur match.
She was filled with enormous confidence and in the next year in 2013 she got into a contract for the Ultimate Fighter Series with UFC. She had not attained 21 and being in her 20’s she was refused to participate in the competition or reality series, the StrawWeight Crowning.
Later after attaining major at the UFC Fight Night: McDonald vs Saffiedine encounter she fought against Kalin Curran on 4th October 2014. This was her debut fight at the UFC and emerged winner in the first round on TKO. She received the Fight of the Night Award. In her career she faced some defeats as against Rose Namajunas and Michelle Waterson. But her spirit had brought victory against Alex Chambers, Bec Rawlings and Felice Herrig. Paige ranked at #9 in the UFC StrawWeight with an overall win of 7 in 10 matches.
