22 Savage is a known comedian and a rapper from Atlanta known for a few big hits and for the fact that he cloned his name as well as his appearance from a known rapper called 22 Savage.

In 2017 he announced that he is changing his name to Young 22.

Early years

During his high school eduacation, he began his career as a comedian. He started posting his sketches on social media platforms, and Vine was his favorite,  and became popular in Baton Rouge. Baton Rouge is a very big city in Louisiana and it’s capital.

He was known for his impressions and memes which he created under names like Funny Ass Mike, Mighty Mike and girlshelike. He had a big help in his half-brother whose stage name is Wings who made his own videos and MacArthur often appeared in them.

Career Development

After high school he turned to rapping, which he already tried in high school, but didn’t take it so seriously. He has done only comedian rapping by then, not real rapping.

He became Mighty Mike and signed a contract with an independent record label “Travis James Entertainment”. As Mighty Mike he had a hit song called “Hit that Bit for the Gram” and the video was viewed on YouTube almost 400,000 times.

Why did he think he has to steal somebody’s name to become popular? Probably because it was a quicker way. Everybody told him that he looks and sounds a lot like 21 Savage so he decided to use that in his advantage.

As 22 Savage, his first song had a title “No heart” which is also stolen from 21 Savage and unforunately he also stole the name of the album “Savage Mode” from the same artists.

When he was asked about it he never showed remorce because of his shameless copying. Just the opposite, he claimed he is way better than 21 Savage.

He didn’t clone only his looks he even copied 21’s style. He imitated his voice, rapping style, looks…the only thing he hasn’t copied is a knife tattoo on his forehead.

His second single was named “Jumpin'” and it was a big hit with over one milloon views of the video. It was the single where he claimed that he is a much better in being 21 Savage than he himself.

The singles that followed were “Pay 4 It”,”Hit that 22” and “Run It”. All of them were listened in hundreds of thousands times.

He has released his ” Nothing 2 Live 4″ early this year.

In the spring of 2017 he annonuced that he changes his stage name from 22 Savage to Young 22. He announced it on his Twitter account.

Two months later he was again the center of happening after he appeared on a track called “Kylie’s Daddy” where he rapped about his lust and hunger for the 20-year old Kylie Jenner, a known Internet celebrity, model and businesswomen, mostly known as one of the Kardashian sisters.

Personal life

MacArthur was arrested for killing a  young rapper Richard Phillips in a parking lot in Baker when he was nineteen years old. The feud ended up in Richard Phillip’s death and it was obviously that 22 Savage doesnþ7766

He shot the man in the chest and got charged for 2nd degree murder and an illegal posession and use of a firearm. He claimed it was only self-defence.

Since the police had a video footage of theevent, his defence claim didn’t stick. He claimed that the victim had a weapon but the video showed otherwise.

He’s currently out on bond of $ 400, 000 but he will probably be found guilty for the murder so he will go back to prison.

There aren’t informations about his family and origins, and it is known that he has a girlfriend but he posted only a few pictures of her on his social media accounts.
