Anders Lindegaard is a known Danish football player on a position of a goalkeeper. He spent five years as a player in Manchester United which gained him his popularity.

Early years

He was born on April 13, 1984, in Odense in Denmark as Anders Rosenkrantz Lindegaard to his mother Birthe and his father, Otto.

Career development

He started his youth career in “Odense Boldklub” known as simply “OB” in Danish football league. He was a team member from 2001-2003. During that period he also represented Denmark National team in categories U19 and U20.

His debut for OB was in 2006, which resulted in defeating Silkeborg IF.

His first debut in the UEFA Competition was in 2009. Most of his time in OB, he was benched by Arkadiusz Onysko, the prime goalkeeper.

He was going to substitute Onysko after he was fired from the club due to his conviction, but it also failed because Onysko was replaced with Roy Caroll.

In 2009 he became a member of Aalesunds FK from Norway, on loan, but he later stayed with the team. Aalesund became the Norwegian Football Cup winner in 2009 and 2010 Lindegaard gained the title “Goalkeeper of the Year.”

In 2010, Manchester United started showing interest for him. At the end of 2010, he signed a contract with Manchester United for 3,5 years, worth $3,5 million.

He started training with the team in November the same year but had to wait until January 2011 to start playing. He was registered as a Premier League player in the same month and got his 34 jerseys.

His debut in Manchester United came at the end of the same month. After only three months he had to go on a knee operation which kept him out of a field for over a month.

In 2011 he didn’t receive a goal in five games in a row. It was a great success and fans were overwhelmed.

In 2012 he hurt his ankle while training and was forced to miss one month on the field.

He signed a new contract with MU the same year this time for a four year period. He changed his jersey number to 13.

In the 2012-13 season, he had ten appearances in goal which is very little for the whole season.

In the 2013-14 season, he appeared only three times on his playing position. He decided to leave the club due to “degradation” by Louis Van Gaal. He felt his talent is unappreciated and that he has to try to find a club which will recognize it.

In 2015, he transferred to Bromwich Albion on a period of two years, trying to gain more appearances. He was loaned to Preston North End in 2016 and remained there. He was “Man of the Match” on one of the games for this club.

In 2017, he transferred to Burnley from Lancashire until the rest of 17/18 season. He is there on trial, as a replacement for their hurt goalkeeper.

Personal life

He married a beautiful Swedish model called Misse Beqiri in 2014. They had an impressive marriage ceremony on the island of Mauritius. She is of Albanian descent and is known for her role in the reality TV series “Housewives of Cheshire.” She is mostly known as an H&M model and often shoots lingerie campaigns.

He openly spoke about the problem of intolerance of homosexuality in sports, especially football.

Miss and Anders have a son Julian together, but they separated after a few years.

They have a son Julian who lives with his mother, but Anders is regularly spending time with him.

Miss is now in a relationship with her partner Jake Hall, and she gave birth to a girl in 2017. The same year, the talented football player started dating Sofie Bording.

Sofie is a beautiful Swedish model who is currently a student at the Copenhagen Business School. Modelling is her way to earn money, but she is focusing on her education because she knows that modeling is not a longtime job.

His fans like her very much and think they are a great couple. He hopes he found his soulmate this time.
