Personal Life
Even though Andy Bassich has received praise and fame due to his dedication to his lifestyles and the ethics he follows, he is not very good when it involves relationships. Andy and his ex-wife Kate Bassich spent a long time together in Alaska fighting against the odds of nature together, but somewhere along that, they were fighting within themselves. Kate later commented that she had endured physical and verbal abuse from her then-husband Andy for a long stretch of time. She even tried to keep her relationship troubles behind curtains for a long time.
After things went murky and downhill with no hope salvaging anything healthy, Kate went out and filed for divorce against Andy Bassich. In 2016 the divorce was finalized, and Andy was left alone in Alaska as Kate moved out to reside with her friends. Kate plans on relocating to British Columbia, Canada to stay in close contact with their youngest daughter.
