Early life
Cheryl Ann Tweedy was born on June 30, 1983 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England, United Kingdom. Her parents separated when she was eleven years old and she has four siblings. Even as a young child she started modeling for small ads and commercials.
Her first appearance was in the advert for the British Gas. This is when she fell in love with the business and decided she wants to become famous when she grows up. She joined the dance group The Royal Ballet and did dancing performances on various TV shows.
In 2002 she auditioned for the Popstars: The Rivals and that is when she started her rise to fame.
Professional TV career
Cheryl made the cut and became a part of the girl group Girl’s Aloud. Together with other girls in the band Cheryl made it to the top of the charts in the UK. Besides Spice Girls, Girl’s Aloud became one of the most successful girl bands in the UK history.

The marriage lasted until 2010 and the couple announced their divorce to the media. The reason for the divorce was Ashley’s unfaithfulness which lasted for a while. Public supported Cheryl throughout the divorce and unlike many others, their marriage ended peacefully.
