James Thomas Fallon – born in Bay Bridge, Brooklyn (NewYork) on September 19, 1974. His parents, Gloria and James W. Fallon have Irish and German roots. His father was a war veteran and worked as a machine repairman and supported the family.
Fallon and his sister had a normal childhood, but he has said that his parents were at times overprotective. He went to Roman Catholic elementary school and was an altar boy. During his childhood he fell in love with comedy and he often filmed his favorite TV and radio shows. After high school he attended The College of Saint Rose where he first studied computer studies and then switched to communications.
During his student years, Jimmy often performed on weekends as a stand-up comedian and his grades were average. Jimmy didn’t finish his college until 2009 when he came back for his Bachelor of Arts degree in communications.

Fallon, like most comedians, started his career performing in local pubs. With only 21 years, he got himself a manager to book him gigs. He earned around 7.50$ per set. In 1998 he appeared in Spin City as a character who sells photographs.
He stayed concentrated on becoming a part of the SNL group and he got his second audition at the age of 23. He excelled during his audition and even made Lorne Michaels, a creator of the show, laugh which was almost impossible.
Fallon’s childhood dream became a reality when he was casted for the SNL show and had his first appearance in 1998. Since then he had been a fan favorite and also had a strong female support from his female fans.
Fallon appeared in a movie “Almost Famous” in 2000 and also wrote a book from the e-mails he had exchanged with his sister called “I hate this place: A pessimist’s Guide to Life” in 1999.

He then appeared in “Fever Pitch” with Drew Barrymore and the movie wasn’t accepted by critics or audience. Since his movie career didn’t go as planned, Jimmy had developed drinking problem and kept on thinking about his next career move.

In 2013 Fallon was announced as a host of The Tonight show, replacing Jay Leno. Even though no one expected this replacement, Fallon was chosen to be the next of the most watched late night show ever.
