Early life
Allen Kelsey Grammer was born on February 21, 1955, in one of the Virgin Islands in the Caribbean Sea – Saint Thomas. His father Frank Allen Grammer was musician and owner of a bar called Greer’s Place. He divorced from Kelsey s mother when he was 2.
Kelsey has one younger sister Karen, but she was murdered when Kelsey was 20.
He was raised in Florida, where he attended to private preparatory school Pine Crest School. He also spends two years in Julliard School on studying drama.
Personal life
Kelsey has four wives and seven children.
The first marriage was with the dance instructor Doreen Alderman, with who he have one daughter Spencer. She is an actress like her father.
The second marriage was with exotic dancer Leigh-Anne Csuhany, but it didn’t last for long.
The third marriage was with Playboy model Camille Donatacci. They have a daughter and son: Mason and Jude Gordon.
Currently his married to Kayte Walsh, with who he has one daughter and two sons.
Between marriages, Kelsey got daughter Kandace Greer Grammer, from the relationship with makeup stylist Barrie Buckner.
Stage Career
Kelsey was an intern for three years in the Old Globe Theatre ( San Diego ). His Broadway debut happened in 1981 when he got a lead role „Lenox“ in the William Shakespeare s tragedy Macbeth. After a successful debut, he played in Othello and Sunday in the Park with George.
TV Career
His TV debut was in the NBC miniseries Kennedy, where he played Stephen Edward Smith. Still, his TV breakout was with the sitcom Cheers, where he portrayed Frasier Crane. He also produced more than 30 episodes. For this role, Kelsey gains many awards.
In 2005 he produced an American adaptation of the British sketch comedy The Sketch Show. After few failed comedy project, he achieves first success in the drama, thanks to the role in the Boss. He gave an award for the Best Actor in a Television Series Drama.
Voice and Production Career
Thanks to his mid-athlantic acent he became popular in voice work. Kelsey recieved en Emmy Award for his voice rol of SideShow Bob – The Simsons.
In the Toy Store 2, Kelsey supplied the voices for Stinky Pete the Prospector. Some of his voic actor.
Some of his other famous voice roles were: Rothbart in Barbie of Swan Lake, Vladimir in the animated movie Anastasia, Zozi the Bear in the Bartok the Magnificent, the title character animated series Gary the Rat etc.
Kelsey also recorded many commercials. Some of them are for the Honey Nut Cheerios, Hyundai, Dr. Pepper, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return, WrestleMania 32 and the Storks.
Kelsey founded the production company – Grammnet Productions, where he produced many projects such as Girlfriends, The Game, Medium etc.
Politics Activism
As a member of the Republican party, Kelsey is interested in running for United States Congress. On the George Bush first inauguration, he was a special guest.
Kelsey supported a lot of republican candidates. Some of them are Rudy Giuliani in the 2008 presidential primary. He ran a campaign for John McCain in the general election. In 2012 he supported Michele Bachmann for the nomination for president and Ben Carson’s candidacy as the Presidential Nominee in 2016.
