Urijah Faber is an American UFC champion and a mixed martial artist.
His estimated net worth is around 8$ million.
Early life
Urijah Faber was born on May 14, 1979 in Isla Vista, California, United States. He grew up in a family of Dutch, Irish, Italian and English descent. He attended Glen Edwards Middle School and Casa Roble High School.
When he was younger he enjoyed spending time on the court and playing different kinds of sport. As an athletic child it was almost obvious he would pursue a career in something related to that, but before doing that he focused on his education and made it his priority.
Besides Urijah, his parents had two more children Ryan and Michaella Tastad. After finishing high school, Urijah decided to go to college and get his degree in Human Development. After graduating from college his love for sports prevailed, so Urijah concentrated on his fighting career instead of working on a regular job.
Professional career
He first started training mixed martial arts and his debut was in 2003. His first opponent was Jay Valencia. Until 2005, Faber continued to pile on victories and placed himself on the top of the list among some of the greatest names of martial arts discipline.
Urijah then decided to shift to cage-fighting and made his debut in 2006. He won the Featherweight championship in 2006 and the title had belonged to him for two years. He was also named Sherdog and was the third bantamweight champion of the world.
His introduction to UFC was made in 2010 after the WEC merged with UFC. After showing great results in cage-fighting, he was chosen to become a coach for the UFC. With his amazing technique and fighting style he captured the attention of the media and sponsors.
Some of his endorsements include Reebok and K-Swiss. From his endorsements and other business ventures his net worth has grown over the years quite a lot. Urijah is a part of the Grace project and he also published a book in 2012. The book got great reviews and it was focused around his life and achievements and it was planned to be an inspirational book for his fans.
In 2014 he became a proud winner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu belt. He is currently ranked number two on the list of best featherweight champions and number 15 on the list of wrestlers pound-for-pound. In 2004 he formed a team Alpha Male that includes some of the greatest UFC names of today.
In his career so far, he has scored total of 34 wins out of 44 fights and he only counts 10 losses in his sport career and most of his earnings and net worth come from various appearances and fights in the UFC.
Like many other wrestlers he has also appeared in several TV series and movies. Urijah was a part of the The MMAX TV series, Leverage, Cagefighter and most recently movie Reach Me.
He is also very active on his social media accounts and often posts pictures from his everyday life. Urijah has a lot of followers on almost all social media platforms and fans seem to still be hungry for this talented athlete.
Personal life
Even though this handsome wrestler has everything most of us can only dream of, he hasn’t committed to someone special yet. Over the years he has been linked with many women but none of them seemed to take this athletic guy’s heart.
He is also a great philanthropist and often gets involved in charitable events. His co-project Grace company helps different causes and endorses many projects for the ones in need.
Urijah like to be very private so information from his personal life is almost closed for the public. Besides images he posts on the social media, we have no hints about his current crush or girlfriend, so we will have to wait and see if some big news are about to pop up about this great wrestler.
