Early life
Steven James Anderson was born on December 18, 1964 in Austin, Texas, U.S. he grew up with his mother that re-married after his parents divorced shortly after his birth. He took his father’s surname and decided to change his name legally.
During his high school years he played football and after finishing high school he got a scholarship from Wharton County Junior College and from University of North Texas. He grew up with three brothers and one sister.
Wrestling career
He made a decision after graduating from college, that he will pursue a career in wrestling. He started his career in Chris Adam’s school of wrestling and made his TV debut in 1989. Two years later he signed a contract with WCW for one year.
After he started competing in the WWE, his success just kept on growing just like his paycheck. His is now one of the most famous wrestlers of all time. In 1991 he won the World TV championship and NWA andWCW Tag Team Championship together with Brian Pillman.
During the nineties, Austin was an enormous star. During 1999 shirts with his face and name were sold and he from the sales of those shirts, almost 500$ million were made.

Austin married his high school girlfriend Kathryn Burrhus in 1990 and the marriage only lasted for one year. On the same year he married Jeanie Clarke, with whom he was in a relationship during his first marriage.
He got married to Clarke in 1992 and the couple got two daughters. They divorced in 1999 and in 2000 he got married to Debra Marshall. The marriage lasted for nine years, and in 2009 he got married again to, his current wife, Kristin.
There is no doubt that Austin is a real ladies man, but in 2002, his then wife, Debra called the police and reported that her husband had beaten her. Austin ran away before the police came but was later sentenced to one year on probation and a 1.000$ fine.
He later confessed that this wasn’t an isolated incident and that he had done it for three times before. His wife had to stay quiet because she was working in the WWE and the truth would look bad for the company.
Austin’s political views are not very clear, but he mostly supports Republican party candidates.
