Josh Murray is a former professional baseball player and a known TV personality who became the winner of one season of a popular reality TV show “The Bachelorette”.

Early life:

He was born on August 12, 1984 in Syracuse in New York but he was raised in Tampa in Florida. He thinks that his way of life in his childhood and the type of people he was surrounded with affected the way he lives his life today.

He grew up surounded with loving parents, Dennis and Lauren, and his two great siblings Aaron and Stephanie.

His father Dennis is an engineer and also played minor league baseball and he was a pitcher. He never made it to the major league.

His mother Lauren (maiden name Shiro) was a cheerleader at high school so it is sure that they all have sports gens.

His sister Stephanie was also a football star in high school: she was a quarterback.

Although his mother is Jewish, he grew up as  Catholic Jesuit like his father so he attended the Tampa Jesuit High School and he was a very good pupil although he was focused on sports a lot.

He has a sister Stephanie and a brother Aaron who is a former quarterback at University of Georgia. He has a good relationship with both of them yet he wants to spend more time at home with them.

He followed his brothers sports footsteps and joined the school’s baseball team. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers after finishing high school.

He played baseball for a few years but eventually he decided to finish his college education at Georgia University. There he joined their football team. He earned his degree in Business Administration.

Sport was a way to relax for him since he was a pretty loud child full of energy all other time. He spent most of his school time on baseball field.

Career development:

Joshua was the 5th pick of the 2nd round in the 2002 Minor Baseball League. He wasn’t still eighteen years old and he decided to refuse a scholarship offered by University of Maryland.

He was assigned to the Ogden Raptors from Utah where he played his first game when he was still 17. He mostly played on shortstop position.

His carrer was slowed down by his injuries so he hadn’t had a real chance to grow up as a baseball player and he was able to play only 65 games for Beloit Snappers (2003/2004).

After that he played both with West Virginia Power and the Brevard County Manatees in the seasons 2005 and 2006.

Charlotte County Redfish from the SouthCoast League was his last baseball club before retiring in 2007.

He joined a TV reality show “Bachelorette” as one of the contestens. He won after he was chosen by Andi Dorfman but their engagement was of a short period. They ended their relationship on the beginning of 2015 although they were planning a wedding in spring.

The media had some suspitions that they forged a hoax together to earn the money and then just split up after the show. It seemed they became “hooked” on fame.

After that he appeared in another reality television show called “Famously Single”.

He came back on TV as s member of the third season of “Bachelor in Paradise” on VH1. At the end he was the winner of the show. He began his new relationship with Amanda Stanton but this didn’t work either. Amanda stated that she tried really hard to keep the relationship going but Josh was weird about a lot of things, especially about her career.

His job outside TV includes finances, which showed very lucrative for him:  he works at a company called “Capstone Financial” which employs people with financial skills to give advice to their clients with their portfolios and investments.

Personal life:

He has a very close relationship with his brother called Aaron Murray who is currently a quarterback for the “Kansas City Chiefs”, an American Football team from Missourri.

He is also on good terms with his sister Steph. She studies psychology at Georgia University. She often posts pictures with her brothers on her social media account.

He is not living alone, but with his Pitbull Sabel. At one period of his life he shared his apartment both with her brother Aaron and sister Stephanie. It was crowded until Stephanie went to get her own place.

Andi Dorfman, his ex-fiancee, released a book called “It’s Not Okay”,  in which she stated that her romantic relationship with Josh Murray was ” the most troubled relationship of her life”. She wrote about his immature behaviour and how it is not surprising that he didn’t have a real relationship for years.
