In 2008, Cleveland traded Browne to Chicago and 3 players participated in that exchange. He played several games in Chicago and then re-traded. He was traded in Charlotte and signed the contract for one year in which he earned $ 800,000. In this season he had an average of 8 points per game.

He had the offer to stay in this team but decided to accept the call from Los Angeles Lakers and signed a contract with them for 2 years and earned 4 million for those 2 seasons. His minutes in the Lakers were limited and he mostly went from the bench. During the season, he scored 7.2 points per game and had 2.6 rebounds and 2 assists per game.

When Lakers entered the playoff, Brown got a longer minute and in the series against his former club Charlotte Brown was the best player and had an average of 21 points in these matches. He managed to win the championship ring with Lakers that season, and that was a great success for him and for the team. In 2010, he was invited to participate in the Sprite Slam Dunk Competition in Dallas but failed to pass the first round of this competition.

After the ALL Star in February, Brown made the best match in the Golden State against Golden State and made the double – double. He scored 27 points and had 10 assists. In New York he scored 8 points and 2 assists per game, but after finishing season he was traded in Miami. He also played in Miami for a season where he had no noticeable performance and then switched to the NBA G league. Since 2016 he has played for the Milwaukee G team and that was the last team in his rich basketball career.
