Rebbeca Marie Gomez aka Becky G was born on March 2, 1997 in Inglewood (California, United States).
Her parents are Alejandra and Francisco Gomez, and her grandparents came from Mexico. Her parents were born in the United States but they have always cherrished their Mexican roots and followed the traditions. She says she feels very connected to her roots and that she never felt bad about them.
She has three siblings: two brothers and a sister. She also has a half-sister Amber, and she found about her when she was 13 years old. Her brothers are Frankie and Alex, and her sister is Stephanie.
Rebbeca grew up in Moreno Valley in a very poor household. He was only nine years old when her parents lost their home and had to move to their grandparents house. They lived in their garage which was made into a living facility. This was a life experience which taught her the meaning and value of money so she decided to help her parents anyway she could’ve. In interviews from years and years later, she said that she never felt like her parents failed to give her anything.
She was very responsible as a child and always worked to earn money for the family. She had part-time jobs and she started doing a lot of commercials. She was a natural talent and very hardworking so she was liked by the advert producers. This made her more mature than kids her age because she lived in a very tough environment. Career development
In 2009 she joined a girl group called “GL.M.”. A little after she joined B.C.G., another music girl group. She tried to find a boost for her career…
In 2009 her group G.L.A.M. filmed a video for “Jelly Bean” single. This was a huge hit and has put Becky G in the front.
She created a YouTube account where she posted her own covers of popular songs. She began writing her own lyrics and even taught to play the guitar through internet. It was at the age of 13 and lots of people find this fascinating.
She met a duo “The Jam” which liked her work and helped her produce the covers of many songs: “Lighters”, “Novacone”, “Boyfriend” and more. This was in 2011.

Personal life
She is a sincere family person and would have stopped anything she does if she knew that some family member is in trouble or needs help.
She is especially soft on her brother Alex who has an autism disorder. Every year, on April 2nd (which is a World Autism Awareness Day), she speaks about the illness and tries to raise awareness.
It’s even on that day that she introduced fans to her brother over a post on her Instagram account.It was very emotional and fans respected her honesty and gave her support.
She always answers to invitations for her to sing at events connected with raising awareness for this disease or raising money for research.
