Early life

Famous Dex was born as Dexter Gore Jr. on September 6th, 1993 to Pamela Winters and Dexter Gore Sr.  in Harlem, New York. He was raised in Englewood, Chicago, Illinois. He was the fourth of twelve children. Famous Dex is of American-African, Moroccan, Indian, Haitian and also Canadian descent. He went to Hernandez Middle School and then attended Robeson High School for his education. He and Lil Durk attended the same high school. His music career began after high school.

The song was another hit and was an excellent showcase of the passionate vocals and became another star in his now growing discography. A few days later, Dex dropped his second mixtape, #OhhMannGoddDamm. Like the first one, this mixtape was hosted by DJ Shon. This was his first release after signing the Rich Forever Music which is Rich The Kid’s new label. The mixtape featured artists like Dice Soho, Famous, Irv and Lil Yachty. On May 10th, 2016, Dex released another single My Energy which was a part of his third mixtape, Heartbreak Kid. The music was a little upbeat as compared to his previous works. The track has over 100,000 streams on Dex’s SoundCloud account. The music video fished over 3.8 million views on YouTube. A few days later he released another single named I’m Crazy featuring Rich The Kid and Lil Yachty. On May 26th, 2016, he dropped another single Goyard featuring Rich The Kid and also had a heavy bass beat done by 808 Mafia. On June 12th,2016, Dex dropped his third mixtape Heartbreak Kid. This was also hosted by DJ Shon, and some of the tracks from the record are Rich Forever, I’m Crazy, Count Up, Never Saw, Disrespectful, U Late. The collaboration in this mixtape included Chino. Rich The Kid, Lil Yachty, Lit Fortunato. The record was well received in Datpiff with over 191,000 streams. In the same month, Dex released another single 2 Times(Remix) featuring Rich The Kid and Wiz Khalifa.

In September 2016, Dex released his fourth mixtape named Dexter the Robot. This mixtape was produced by Big Head and Maaly Raw. Personal life

As of records, Famous Dex is not married. He was in a relationship in 2016. Rumors surfaced on the internet in 2016 that he was beating up his girlfriend. Someone anonymously uploaded footage of the rapper assaulting a woman, physically, it was presumed to be his girlfriend.

Dex and his girlfriend solved their issues and got back together and welcomed their baby son in 2017. Famous Dex also has two daughters whose names are Baby T, and Baby J. He is very affectionate towards his kids.

In 2016, Dex bought a house and hosted a big celebration which was later shared with his fans online. Short videos of the house were later shared by the rapper over social media.
