With the lilting sounds of country music we are listening to the songs of Luke Combs, he is relatively new to the scene of country music, but he is making quite a name and a place for himself.
Early life
Born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina, Luke Albert Combs has been performing since the time he was 8 years old.
During his teens, he was playing football, performing with several groups as a vocalist, all while he was a pupil in Reynolds High school.
His first recognition was at Carnegie Hall where he performed solo.
He went on to attend Appalachian State University, and it was there that he first played country.
But he did not stay on to get a degree; he dropped out when he was in the fourth year with the decision to concentrate on his music career.
Career
Even though he has been singing since he was 8 years old, it was not until 2014 that he released his first EP – The Way She Rides. He followed it in 2015 by his next EP – Can I Get An Outlaw.
But it was his first single – Hurricane – that gained him recognition as an artist to be looked up to. Hurricane sold more than fifteen thousand copies and debuted in the Billboard Hot Country, made a number one on Country Radio Airplay when it was re-released.
In 2017, he released his first studio album – This One Is For You – an album that was preceded with the singles – When It Rains It Pours, She Got the Best of Me, One Number Away, Beautiful Crazy, and Hurricane.
It is rather interesting to see that all these singles made number one in Country Radio Airplay.
As such, Luke Combs made five number ones with the five singles he released, this is not just quite a feat, but he is the first to make such a record – it is daunting, to say the least especially as they all came from one album.
The success of that album made him re-release it in 2018, but he added bonus track to it. Again, the album made quite a splash. In particular, the song Beautiful Crazy made number one, on the country airplay.
Not only that, but it registered number one on Country Streaming Songs, Hot Country Songs, and also Country Digital Songs.
Singer and songwriter, he has a unique style that has distinguished him, and he has reached his fans by giving country music a unique flavor along with the lilting tunes of his guitar.
Personal Life
Luke is in his late twenties, but we see that he is already planning to settle down. He has been dating Nicole Hocking for two years, and they have recently become engaged.
He settled in Nashville when he decided to take his career to the next level.
Tour Dates and Upcoming Events
Luke is taking to the road and will be touring, and he has announced his upcoming tour which will be as soon as May 10 – Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour.
