Early life

MC Lyte was born with the birth name Lana Michelle Moorer. She was born on11th October 1970 in Brooklyn, New York, United States of America. She was, in fact, the first misogynistic female rap singer who was an expert in pricking out the controversial theme of sexism and the hidden theme of misogyny that often used to make the audience feel the essence of young and flamboyant passion.

She made a strong platform for the rap lineage and made the rap artist like Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott. The rap aspirants were later heaped with enough fortunes while progressing in their career for Lyte immense contribution in the rap industry. She started to make rap rhymes from an early age of 12 years. Her being into rhyming from such an early age makes her gradually release the song “I Cram to Understand U.” It became her first ever Priority label.

Soon she came up with her full-length debut release titled “Lyte As a Rock” and then followed up another release “Eyes on This.”  The professional numbers were of finest quality and backgrounds an excellent beat that heightens the rap effect. Career

Lyte decided to go off with her sophomore album and gave it a title “ChaChaCha.” It was an absolute hit single.  It gave her a probable chance to go for yet another track on the theme “Cappuccino.”  Lyte then turned upon to Bell BivDeVoe’s excellent writer and co-producer Wolf & Epic for releasing her third album in the year 1991, “Act As You Know.” The album was based completely on a segment of spirituality.

In 1993, she came up with “Ain’t No Other.”  It consisted of the popular single “Ruffneck” that received a nomination for the Grammy under the category of the best rap number. Lyte achieved the prestigious title of the best female rap singer.She recreated herself to make another record label Elektra/Asylum, with the hit numbers “Bad As I Wanna B” that also featured a duet hit with Missy Elliott.  The track was a beautiful number titled “Cold Rock a Party” and was studded with other guests like Elliott, LL Cool J, and Giovanni Salah. She came with the production “Play Girl Play.”  Her albums included the collaboration of Atlanta’s Xscape that won the Seoul Train Award-winning titled “Keep on Keepin’On.” It is a beautiful track that was also listed on the Sunset Park soundtrack and was capable getting listed under Lyte’s second gold single.

She even appeared in several television reality shows and also is comedy shows Moesha.  She was an important actress in the series of “In the House” and the crime drama named “New York Undercover.” Her other efforts are shown vividly in “For Your Love” and a film titled “A Luv Tale.”  She went for beginning a voice- over that was founded by her very own managerial Committee named Duke Da Moon Production.

Lyte came up with an extraordinary number with Queen Latifah who is famous for her ability to remix the smash hits of the eminent singer “I Wanna Be Down.” She then came up with her fifth album titled “Bad as I Wanna B” and went for making a record label titled Elektra. Lyte admitted to the comment made by her in an interview in the year 1996 People Review that she considers herself fully responsible for want ever come out of her mouth.  She even teamed up with the famous rap group R&B group X-Scape that made him won the prestigious Soul Train Award. She even decided to hire a producer ones from the Neptune group who can effectively coordinate and even get co-associated during the development of the lyrical content.

Some of her best creation can be counted among the songs like “Closer,” “I Can’t Make a Mistake” and another one titled “It’s All Yours.” It was featured by the vocalists Gina Thomson.  She repeated announced that she always believes in collaboration. Legendary Hip Hop rapper Lana “MC Lyte” Moorer was finally married to John Wyche after being tired of finding her Mr. Right. She married at the age of 46 to John Wyche,  a Corp Veteran by profession and also an entrepreneur.  The marriage took place in Jamaica at the Caribbean Resort situated in Montego Bay. The eminent rapper namely YoYo, the famous actress Niatia named “Lil Mama,” singer Kelly Price” and the singer Coco of the band R&B of SWV were her celebrity guests at her wedding.

Lyte has been the co-founder of the group Hip Hop Sisters Foundation and is also into hosting and monitoring a retreat group of a woman called W. E. A. L. T. H. She collaborated with many panelists and celebrities and made many women earn their living. She taught a woman the power of independence. Lana is quite inclined toward spiritualism and is an outright believer in All mighty. She regularly goes for church service.
