Early years
The real and full name of rapper Fetty Wap is Willie Maxwell. He was born on June 7th 1991 in Paterson, New Jersey, United States of America where he spent his childhood and where he still lives now.
As he said in one interview in 2015 he had glaucoma in both eyes when he was born so the doctors tried to save him from that illness but unfortunately they didn’t succeed to cure his left eye. After the failed treatment the doctors put an ocular prosthesis in his left eye.

In June 201 Wap participated in XXL’s 2015 Freshman Class.
On June 29th 2015 he released his second single titled “679”. Before official releasing Wap post that single on YouTube month earlier.
The original version of single “679” is only with Monty and it is added version with Wap while the version with The Remy Boyz wasn’t put on the album.
Wap then released single calld “My Way” which was ranked in top 10 entries on the Billboard Hot 100. Later, rapper Drake made remix of that song which was playing on the radio stations.
After some time, music track “679” was ranked on the Hot 100 and it also took fourth place on Top 10.
In the last week of July 2015 Wap’s three songs took places in the top 20 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart so he became one of the most successful male rappers besides Eminem who also achieved same rank in 2013 and Lil Wayne who did the same thing in 2011.
His fourth single “Again” Wap put him at the first act in the Hot Rap Songs chart’s in their history of 26 years while his first four entries were ranked in the top 10 at the same time.
On September 25th 2015 Wap released his first studo album called “Fetty Wap” which peaked first place on the US Billboard 200.
After some time Wap released two mixtapes only for streaming. First mixtape named “Coke Zoo” was created in collaboration with French Montana and ZOO 16 while for the second called “The Mixtape” he collaborated with Zoo Gang.
