Aston George Taylor J is an American Disk Jokey who is popularly known as Funk master. Aston George Taylor J was the host on the New York’s favorite radio station Hot 97 and became the first person to host a hip-hop show over the radio.
Early life
Aston George Taylor J was born and brought up in New Your City. At the very early stage of 16, Aston George Taylor J started DJing for the local clubs in New York City. When Funk master was 19 years old, he started working with a Bronx native friend Chuck Chill out in the WRKS 98.7 Kiss FM. Later Aston George Taylor J moved from Kiss FM to WBLS FM. After the 1990s Aston George Taylor J started making appearances on the clubs which was operated by Vito Bruno’s. Vito Bruno later helped Aston George Taylor J to convince Joel Salkowitz who was the regional vice president of hot 97 to start a live broadcast from the clubs.
