Bonang Matheba, known as „Queen B“, is a famous South African TV host and businesswoman.
Early years
She was born on June 25, 1987. in Mahikeng in South Africa.
Her mother divorced her father when she was only five years old and she always says that she is very grateful to her mother because she taught her to appreciate hard work.
Her mother got married again and Bonang got herself a half-brother.
Bonanga, her sister and her half-brother all lived in Johannesburg.
She had a dream to become a schoolteacher but in the end she turned to entertainment industry.
She went to Fourways High School and continued her education by studying Marketing at the University of Johannesburg.
Career development
She acted in kid’s series from her early age but her television career seriously began in 2002., when she was only fifteen years old, when she became a presenter on a show Manhattan’s Fantasy Challenge.
In 2007., she became a host of „Live“ show and became a star and in 2012., she left „Live“ and joined „Top Billing“.
„Live“ was an extremely popular show in Africa and gave her career a boost.
In 2008. she launched her 1st clothing collection called Just B and next year she upgraded that business with a collection of handbags named Baby Star.
She won a South African style and sport award.
Matheba is the first black celebrity on the cover of Glamour SA and Maxim SA in 2014.
She is a global brand ambassador for Revlon Cosmetics, together with a famous actress Halle Berry.
In 2014. she became a model for a lingerie line called Distraction, an expensive South African brand. The same year she was the host of Red Carpet at the 8th Annual South African Film and Television Awards.
A little later, the same year, Bonang was a judge on Miss South Africa.
In 2016. she replaced Gisele Bündchen as a covergirl for Ipanema footwear, Brazil.
Now she is a host and a Radio DJ on „The Front Row“ and the owner of Bonang Matheba Entertainment.

Philantropic work
She was involved in „Carry Yourself With Confidence” campaign donating products to young girls in their teens and providing them with products they need and learn them essential life skills.
She also raised an impressive amount for charity to the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.
Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund was launched this year after she was reaced out by a student to help her finance her tuition fees.
