Early life
Christopher Ryan Hardwick was born on November 23, 1971 in Louisville, Kentucky, U.S. His mother was a real-estate agent and his father was a professional bowler. Chris grew up in Memphis and went to the Memphis City Junior High.
He met Joan Rivers when he was only four years old and stayed friends with her until she died in 2014. Chris was also the school’s champion in chess. He moved to California to finish high school and later studied philosophy on the UCLA.
Chris graduated in 1993 and decided to get into stand-up comedy since that was one his childhood wishes.
Career and rise to fame
Chris worked several jobs to support for himself. At the beginning of his career he worked as a DJ and also landed few smaller roles in shows like Guys Like Us. He also appeared in several other TV series where he played smaller roles.
Some of them include Married With Children, Boy Meets World and many more. Chris also did hosting jobs like for the 2005 The Ministrel Show. In the meantime he pursued his stand-up comedy career and performed all around L.A and also appeared in several movies during late nineties.
After appearing on so many TV shows and series, Chris slowly but efficiently, made his name prominent on the starry celebrity sky.
Hardwick also wrote for the Wired magazine and appeared regularly on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He released two books, and one of them was actually a self-help book on how to improve your life if you are a nerd.
In 2011 he entered into a partnership with Nerdist News and this company got bought by Legendary Entertainment. Chris was named the co-president of Legendary’s digital business in 2012 after the company was impressed by his work, dedication and talent.
Chris also does voiceovers for various shows. He did a voiceover for one of the characters in The Radio Adventures of Dr. Floyd and Barnyard: The Original Party Animals. He also did the voice for The Legend of Korra.

Chris also hosted the MTV’s show Singled Out and Shipmates. In 2011 he hosted The Nerdist: The Year in Review on BBC. He also released several CD’s and DVD’s with his stand-up comedy performances. Since his performance is usually explicit, the DVD’s and CD’s were uncensored.

He was also linked to many famous women. He was engaged to Jacinda Barret and was in a long relationship with actress Janet Varney. Chris was also dating a model Chloe Dykstra for three years.
But in 2015 he got engaged once again to the model and actress Lydia Hearst and the couple got married in 2016 in California.
