Jessi Combs is an American TV personality which appeared on the show „Xtreme 4×4“ and co-hosted it for four years.

She is a known women’s speed racer and holds several records in her branche.

Early life:

She was born on July 27, 1983 in Rapid City in South Dakota in USA. She grew up with an older sister with whom she is in great terms since then. She was raised as a practising Catholic and she often speaks about her strong faith.

Her father was a mechanical engineer, so she felt at home when she was in the garage sitting and watching her father work. She developed her passion for building cars there.

Her family gave her support after she decided to have the same career as her father : a career that involves cars.

After finishing high school she graduated from Wyo Tech which is a new name for the Wyoming Technical Institute owned by Zenith Education group.

She was interested in speed, vehicles and metal fabrication so she wanted to finish a college which will give her the knowledge about it.

She graduated at various programs: Collision & Refinishing Core, Street Rod Fabrication, Custom Fabrication, High Performance Powertrain… In all of these programs she was at the top of her class and one of the rare women at campus.

Shw didn’t have problems with that and he was mostly good received amongst men because she showed great enthusiasm about her work.

Career development:

Because of her great ambition and expertize in those fields she was hired by WyoTech marketing department to build a vehicle from zero, all in 6 months, for their SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) show. She did it along with one more girl from college whi was also a car lover like her.

The two of them fabricated and customized a 1964 Mercury Cyclone. Tgey did all the painting too. They have built it from scratch and the project  was a huge success for them and for school.

She hosted „Xtreme 4×4“for four years and in 2008 she left the show. It was a half-hour long reality TV show which aired on Spike TV and had instructional basis. She co-hosted over eighty episodes.

She acted in one season of a science entertainment TV program called „MythBusters“ premiered on the Discovery Channel in 2003. She appeared in 12 episodes of the 7th season.

In 2011 Jessi started recording and adventure series based on cars. It was called „The List 1001 Car Things To Do Before You Die“ and it won a lot of awards. She co-hosted it alongside Patrick McIntyre.

She was one of the hosts in „All girls garage“ show on Velocity TV Network. She hosted it from 2011 to 2014. This show was extremely watched since it was about women repairing and customizing automobiles.

In 2012 she was invited as a guest star on „Overhaulin’s“ with Chris Jacobs on TLC.

She starred in the “SpeedAir” and “Cherry Nova” episodes.

Throught her entire career she also worked as a professional race driver. She races since 2011 and she won the 1st place in „Ultra 4 Stampede“ in 2014 and „Ultra National Championship“ the same year.

In 2013 in the NA Eagle SuperSonic speed challenge“ race through the Alvord desert she broke a 48 year old women’s speep record that was set in 1965.

In 2016 she broke her own record from 2013 and she continues to move her own boundries.

She published her first book in 2015. It was titled „Joey and the Chopper boys“ and the book tells a story about a girl in love with motorcycles. The book has many autobiographical elements.

Personal life:

She got married to Ian Johnson who was a co-host of „Xtreme 4×4“. Their marriage didn’t last long but they stayed friends afterwards.

She is a brand ambassador of many known brands such as „Warn Industries“, „The Real Deal“, „Lincoln Electric“ and many more. She has many endorsements contracts and earns a lot of money out of them.

She is religious and is a devoted Christian.

She refuted all rumors that she is now gay because she hasn’t been seen with any boyfriend for years.
