Early life
Lisa was born to Leonard Lampugnale and Gloria Lampugnale who belong to a family of the common working group. Leonard remained an employee of Sikorsky Aircraft turned his life with the brush as a painter. Gloria served in the local police department. The couple was blessed by the birth of a child whom they called as Lisa Lampanelli.
Lisa was born on 19th July 1961 in Trumbull, Connecticut, United States of America. Lisa has a blend of Italian and Polish descent. Lisa is born at Connecticut but has earned fame as a New Yorker. She has a sister who is known by the name of Nancy Lessard.
Lisa was admitted to the St. Joseph High School from where she started her education. She was quite a good student from the very early age. After clearing the campus of her school boundary, she wanted to learn journalism. She enrolled herself in the Syracuse University to get a degree in her subject. Later to specialized further in journalism from Boston College.
She had also attended Harvard University for a graduate program in Journalism. After completing her educational endeavor, Lisa got herself into Rolling Stone as an assistant copy editor working on the Popular Mechanics. As a journalist, she had experienced the responsibility of leading the research work for Spy Magazine.
Career
She made a turn in her career and on attaining thirty she went for the Stand-up Comedy. It was in the early 90’s when Lisa entered the world of stand-up comedy. She started performing in the various clubs in Los Angeles and New York City. Her raunchy and coarse sarcastic routines got her enough fame to make her realize that she had taken a right path to succeed in her way. Her insult comics were improving with the laughing applauses of her audience. She improved upon her comic circuit, particularly in New York.
Her comic is highly influenced by the racial smears and featured with ethnic humor. Het subject of comedy basically hovers over the minority groups particularly the racial one and with the featuring of homosexuality. She has the genre of both observational and improvisational comedy with an outrageous flavor of insult comedy.
With the Friars’ Club roast in the New York Cist, she made the real breakthrough. She was there with Pamela Anderson, Denis Leary, Flavor Flav, William Shatner, Jeff Foxworthy, Donald Trump and David Hasselhoff to execute for ‘Larry the Cable Guy’ as Roastmaster. She was more than often for ‘The Howard Stern Show.’ in 2005 she came up with a DVD with the title ‘Take it Like a Man.’ For ‘Big Loud Lisa’ she made a tie with the Fox. She made a stand-up comedy special titled ‘Dirty Girl’ in 2006. Her DVD was released under the banner of Warner Bros. and Jack Records in 2007.
Lisa had also appeared with Larry the Cable Guy, D.J. Qualls and Bill Engvall for the movie ‘Delta Farce’ which was screened in 2007. She was also seen with Owen Wilson starring in ‘Drillbit Taylor.’ Her major influence of comedy had come up from Dean Martin when Lisa was growing. She was so impressed by her master that before becoming a stand-up comedian, she can hardly remember that she had seen any comic of another comedian.
Some of her pranks as in the ‘Flavor of Love,’ had been rumored by TMZ, had received a cut by the sensor. On 21st November 2008, Lisa taped her maiden HBO special at Santa Rosa, California. Dave Higby had directed her ‘Lisa Lampanelli: Long Live the Queen’ and ‘Dirt Girl.’ Again in 2010with the same director, she came up with ‘Tough Love.’ Her first one-woman show on Broadway was aired as ‘Bring back the Fat Chicks.’ She was the contestant on ‘The Celebrity Apprentice 5’.
Personal life
Though Lisa had divorced her first husband, the two are good friends to date. On 2nd October, 2010she married Jimmy Cannizzaro. Again following the same consequence, she divorced Jimmy after four years of their marriage. She supports the gay, lesbians, transgender and bisexual as well.
