Early life
Paul’s full name is Paull Gideon Manry Slayton and birthplace is Southlea in Texas in the United States, being born to American parents who are from Georgetown. He experienced his childhood years in his hometown along with his parents. Paul’s actual biological father had left the family, leaving behind his younger sister and his mother. The family underwent a severe depression of losing out the man of the family when Paul was only 5 years old. Initially, Paul was mentally attacked and considered himself inferior to others and not good enough.
The family had a terrible phase which made Paul hate his father who got addicted to some other heroine. His mother worked really hard to pay off the bills and carry forward Paul’s and his sister’s education. Later, the children were accompanied by a stepfather with whom they got along well but used to spend the majority of their childhood days in Austin. Paul says his favorite place was Austin as there lived his beloved grandmother and thus, paid a number of visits to her.

After dropping out from the University of Houston, Paul took the initiative to get to work with a company of Michael Watts, Swishahouse which was a renowned house of rap label and put real efforts to impress him through his mixtape entitled as ‘Choppin Em Up Part 2’. Since he was able to impress him, Paul along with his fellow mate Chamillionaire was made permanent members of the Swishahouse.
Then both Paul and Chamillionaire started off with their own group named ‘The Color Changin’ Click’ and discharged a few promoting labels like ‘No Limit Record, ‘Def Jam Records’ and ‘Cash Money.’ He then got his first studio album named ‘Chick Magnet’ released where he had collaborated with popular artists like Slim Thug, Mike Jones and much more. This album release gave a great boost to his career as this fetched him a huge fan base from all over the world. He also collaborated with a number of popular rappers like Juelz Santana and Snoop Dogg and gained position on Billboard’s Hot List at No. 8.
Due to some personal reasons, Paul decided to leave this group and thereby, got his own album entitled as ‘The Peoples Champ’ released. This album comprised of amazing songs like ‘Girl,’ ‘Sittin’Sidewayz,’ ‘They Don’t Know’ and much more which made his debut at being the No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Paul then joined ‘Strange Music’ where he was positioned as a fictional rapper named as Grillionaire for the movie named ‘I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell.’ In addition to his music profession, Paul made his debut as an actor in the film ‘Furnace.’ He had also been a part of a number of other movies where he had significant roles to perform.
