Russ Vitale is an American hip hop artist and a music producer better known as a member of “Diemon Crew”.
He is not a representative of trap music but of rap music which is more softer and closer to R&B. His lyrics mostly talk about his life and his views on it.
Early years
Russell Vitale or Russ, was born on September 26, 1992 in New Jersey, USA. He is of Italian descent and his family immigrated from Sicilia to States after the WWII.
His father had a very demanding job which caused Vitale’s family to move a lot when he was a kid. It affected him in the way that he lost many childhood friends due to relocating.
After moving to Kentucky, they were also residents of North Carolina and Georgia.
After they finally settled in Georgia they considered it a bliss. He grew up in a suburb of Atlanta called Alpharetta.
Since Russ started his middle school education he was interested in hip hop. He wrote lyrics and rhymes from the age of seven and high school made him turn to creating beats. He was very good at it and his friends enjoyed in listening to them.
He recorded his first rap song at the age of 18 and after that he started producing a lot of music. He is the type of person who wants to do everything by himself si this song was written, produced and rapped by him.
He went to Russell High School and was on his way to college ,The Kennesaw State University to be exact, but he dropped out very soon because he was too interested in music and producing. He just couldn’t find the time or the interest for studying.
Career Development
Trying to find a way to become a star, Russ decided to form a rap group called “Diemon Crew”. The group had many members: Russ, Bugus, John Anthony, Dartlin, Paulo, DJ Adam Golden, Macivan Musa, J and many more.
He released his first album in 2011 and after releasing several albums he decided to open his own SoundCloud account in 2014. His songs on SoundCloud were listened over fifty million times.
Russ signed a contract with a known record label Columbia Records in 2016. Although he liked to be independent in recording he realized that Columbia Records can offer him a lot.
In spring 2017 he released his first album made under Columbia Records called “There’s Really a Wolf”.
He is going through every step of the music production himself: songwriting, mixing, rapping etc. – it is all of his doing.
He was an opening artist for Wiz Khalifa and Waka Flocka Flame on their concerts. They invited him because they saw his huge talent and wanted to present him to their own fans.
He would like to collaborate with Drake and Kanye West and he admires their work.
His latest single was released in the spring of 2017 named “Aint Nobody Taking My Baby”.
He released 11 albums and some of them are “The Edge”, “Apollo 13”, “Straight From The Limbo” and “Silence”. Since they were released in just a few years he is considered as a very talented artist.

His mother is a life-coach and a motivational speaker. There aren’t any informations about his father.
His album called “Pink elephant” is an autobiographic album because most of the songs on it are about his break up with his longtime girlfriend Paola Pretti. They were together for eight years before they ended their relationship.
During that time he made a song named after her, “Paola Pretti” in 2013. It was during the period they were still in love.
On the “Pink elephant” there is a song called “Goodbye” which marks the end of their relationship. It seems that she has cheated on him and that it broke his heart.
